Anna Tsvell is a full-time visual artist and art director focused on abstract figurative and textile art, worked with / was featured by : Gucci, Dior, Tiffany&Co, Adidas Originals, Harper’s Bazaar, Lampoon Magazine, DressX, Winsor & Newton, Art on a postcard (famous charity project), SHOWstudio, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine etc. Anna currently lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.

Fine art

Self-taught, Anna started her art career in 2014 and developed her own distinctive artistic style which makes her paintings extremely recognizable and attractive for the art collectors all over the world. Long curved necks, chaotically combined parts of the body are the main distinctive features of Anna’s remarkable style. Anna invented her own manner of painting hands which also became one of the hallmarks of her style and integral part of her paintings. Anna highlights the main theme of her work — the body, it's new forms and shapes, women's shapes are woven into multiple elegant lines.

Anna works with acrylics, watercolors, ink and digitally, her artworks are sharp and visual attractive, extremely unusual, eye catching, increasing audience reach and impressions. Tsvell’s artworks are unique — that's why Anna is demanded by brands, magazines, influencers and celebrities.

Paintings and drawings by Anna Tsvell are in private collections of musicians, film directors, photographers, art collectors and art lovers all over the world. Anna’s art was exhibited in different art galleries in US, United Kingdom and Europe.

In addition to her active and productive artistic life Anna is working on the development of her personal author's methodology of creating a unique style from the scratch. Also she is a Brand friend (ambassador) of Winsor & Newton, the author of expert articles and master classes about art supplies using. 


Artist's statement.

Anna Tsvell is focusing on exploring the theme of human (women mostly) portraiture through its transformation into new visual anatomical forms. The body consists of many smooth lines, figurativeness is hidden and deconstructed. Line and texture play a huge role in Anna’s works, the artist explores the dynamic possibilities and the ways of expression which the line can do, paintings and drawings by Anna Tsvell are dark, intuitive, expressive, hedonistic and melancholic at the same time, they are full of symbols and details which are based on Anna's personal predilections and fixations.

Textile Art

Anna started her fiber art practice in 2017 year in Los Angeles, but it became a constant direction of her art in 2020 year. Anna is creating intuitive process-based fiber artworks inspired by nature textures with a sophisticated touch of dark aesthetics.

Anna’s fiber artworks are always hand embroidered on transparent tulle - she wants to show the importance of seeing the invisible on physical and mental levels both, the back side of Anna’s works is as substantial as the front side, both sides are making the work complete. Black and red are the predominant colors in Anna’s work currently.
